New York City CCW Resident and Non-Resident
New York Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Requirements for Resident and Non-Residents:
1) Attend a 16hr in-person live classroom instruction that covers:
- General Firearm Safety
- Firearm Safe Storage
- State and Federal Gun Laws
- Situational Awareness
- Conflict De-escalation
- Adverse Effects of Alcohol and Drug Use
- Best Practices when Encountering Law Enforcement
- Sensitive Locations
- Conflict Management
- Use of Deadly Force
- Suicide Prevention
- Basic Principles of Marksmanship
2) Pass a written test
- Minimum passing score: 80%
3) Attend a 2hr live fire training course
4) Qualify on a live-fire proficiency assessment
The live-fire proficiency assessment will be completed at: Recoil Range, 25 Mott Ave. Monroe Township, NJ 08831
- You must bring eye/hearing protection, holster, firearm, and 50 rounds of ammunition
- If you do not have a firearm, one can be rented for the 2hr portion of the class

4 Bridges Tactical Group provides application services to people who need to apply to the New York City Police Department for their Concealed Carry Permit, Premise Permit, and/or Rifle/Shotgun Permit. They also provide all the necessary required paperwork that is needed for the permit along with a passport photo, as well as answer all the tough questions that are asked in the application process to allow for a smoother, non-interrupted experience.

The cost for this service is:
$400.00 for the first permit application
$150.00 for each additional permit application

New Jersey Non-Resident and Resident Concealed Carry Weapons Permit
The NJ CCW C.C.A.R.E. Protocol course requirements:
- Demonstrate safe holstering and unholstering during the shooting course of fire
- Demonstrate proficient and safe reloading during the shooting course of fire
- Use of Force for Private Citizen Concealed Carry
- Holster Draw
- Live Range shooting course of fire which consists of 50 rounds
- 80% is passing — 40 out of 50 rounds must be within the silhouette
- Shooting distances are from the: 3-yard line, 5-yard line, 7-yard line, 10-yard line, and 15-yard line (10 rounds at each yard line)
According to N.J.S.A. 2C:58-4: Permit to carry handguns, one permit shall be sufficient for all handguns owned by the holder thereof.
- New Jersey Residents and Non-Residents MUST have a Firearms Identification Card (FID)
- Must get fingerprinted if not already fingerprinted in the State of New Jersey for firearms
Note: NJ CCW is valid for 2 years and must be renewed thereafter.
