New York Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Requirements for Resident and Non-Residents:
-Attend a 16hr in person live classroom instruction that covers: General Firearm Safety, Firearm Safe Storage, State and Federal Gun Laws, Situational Awareness, Conflict de-escalation, Adverse effects of alcohol and drug use, Best Practices when encountering Law Enforcement, Sensitive Locations, Conflict Management, Use of Deadly Force, Suicide Prevention, and Basic Principles of Marksmanship.
-Pass a written test with a minimum score of 80%
-Attend a 2hr live fire training course
-Qualify on a live-fire proficiency assessment
-The live-fire proficiency assessment will be completed at Recoil Range 25 Mott Ave., Monroe Township, NJ 08831.
-You must bring eye/hearing protection, holster, firearm and 50 rounds of ammunition
(If you do not have a firearm one can, be rented for the 2hr portion of the class)

4bridgestacticalgroup offers private, personalized one-on-one instruction that covers basic firearms safety, shooting skills, and range time of any caliber handgun (revolver or semi-auto), rifle, or shotgun. These sessions are typically selected by people who have either recently obtained a firearm and is unfamiliar with it and/or wanting to learn how to improve their shooting skills or by people who want to know more about the sport of shooting.
Basic Youth Firearm Safety Classes are youth-oriented for children ages 7-18. Students are taught basic firearms safety. Basic youth firearm safety classes will teach students the basic operation of a .22 rimfire rifle, shooting fundamentals, cleaning, storage, range rules and etiquette. Students are also taught what to do if they come across a firearm unattended. The basic youth firearm safety course is taught in a way kids can easily understand. Class sizes are limited to six students to create the opportunity for more personalized instruction.

Instructor led only takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment. This course may be completed in a single day format or over several days with smaller blocks of instruction.

Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Non-shooting course that teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and to explain the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.

This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense.
Prerequisite: This course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm). Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes by producing an NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment.
Description: This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection in the Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate. Note: Lesson III of this course: Firearms and the Law, and Legal Aspects of Self-Defense, is conducted by an attorney licensed to practice law within the state in which this course is given and who is familiar with this area of the law, or a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) who possesses an intermediate or higher Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certificate granted within the state, or an individual currently certified to instruct in this area of the law by the state in which this course is presented. The NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) program was developed in response to the demand for a nationally recognized range safety officer certification. To become a NRA Range Safety Officer, you must pass the RSO course and demonstrate that you possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
The RSO course content consists of RSO's roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefings which include procedures to follow in the case of an emergency. To qualify as an NRA Instructor:
NRA Instructor courses are discipline specific. During the course candidates will learn NRA policies and procedures; basic public speaking skills; training methodology; use of a training team and training aids; organizing a course, building a budget; and finally preparing to teach. In addition, candidates will be provided the appropriate lesson plans and basic course student packets. Role-playing is a major part of an instructor course; therefore, the minimum class size should be at least four candidates, with 10-12 candidates being ideal. Candidates take turns working in teams, actually conducting portions of the course to other candidates who portray basic students.
Instructor training courses are conducted by NRA Training Counselors. Training Counselors are active and experienced instructors who have been certified by NRA to train experienced shooters to teach others to shoot. Training Counselors will evaluate candidates' performance based on their ability to handle the firearms with confidence, use of appropriate training aids, following the lesson plans and meeting all learning objectives, while utilizing the teaching philosophies expected of NRA Certified Instructors. Candidates can also expect to learn the NRA discipline specific instructional methods and evaluating and improving the performance of beginning shooters.
***Candidates must successfully complete Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within 2 years of taking each basic discipline. Proof of successful completion of basic class will be required.***
Initial Training Requirements:
8 Hour Pre-Assignment Training- A general introductory course. You must complete this course and submit a copy of the certificate issued to you with your security guard application.
16 Hour On-The-Job Training (OJT) - A course relevant to the duties of guards, requirements of the work site, and the needs of the employer. You must complete this training within 90 days of employment as a security guard.
Annual Training Requirement:
8 Hour Annual In-Service Training - This course must be completed each calendar year you hold a security guard registration. Your registration is issued for two years, therefore, you must complete two 8 Hour Annual In-Service training courses within your registration effective and expiration dates to be eligible for renewal.

Initial Training Requirements:

47 Hour Firearms Training - You must possess a valid NYS Pistol Permit and security guard registration to enroll in this course. Upon successful completion of this course, submit a copy of the certificate with your application for an armed guard registration upgrade.
Annual Training Requirements:
8 Hour Annual In-Service Training - This course must be completed each calendar year you hold an armed security guard registration. Your registration is issued for two years, therefore, you must complete two 8 Hour Annual In-Service training courses within your registration effective and expiration dates to be eligible for renewal; and
8 Hour Annual Firearms Training - This course must also be completed each calendar year you hold an armed security guard registration. Your registration is issued for two years, therefore, you must complete two 8 Hour Annual Firearms training courses within your registration effective and expiration dates to be eligible for renewal.
As of 2007, SORA training is mandated for all contract security positions throughout New Jersey. SORA training is a 3 step process to be completed within a 30 day period. These steps currently include registration with the New Jersey State Police (NJSP), completing a 24 hour training program with a NJSP certified instructor, and fingerprinting. Proper government issued identification is required for each step.
The SORA training course includes but is not limited to the following subject matter:
All Security Officers unarmed or armed have to be licensed by the state of CT. If you are looking to become and Armed Security Officer (Blue Card) you will need to have additional training.
Unarmed Training
Security personnel, uniformed or not, working with a firearm in the course of their assigned duties, must posses a “Class 1” endorsement on their state permit.
Students must qualify with the firearm they will be working with for the job.
*Please Note: As of October 1, 2004, it will be a prerequisite that all Armed Security Officers will need to qualify on a yearly basis with the firearm that they will be using in the capacity of their employment position. Documentation of this training must be supplied to the Special Licensing & Firearms Unit.
Course content includes:
The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (HR-218) allows the qualified law enforcement officer and the qualified retired law enforcement officer to carry a concealed firearm in any jurisdiction in the United States, regardless of any state or local law to the contrary, with certain exceptions. Each retired officer will be required to provide the following items:
3-hour Arizona State Non-Resident Concealed Carry Weapons Permit allows a non-resident of the state of Arizona to carry in Arizona and 30 other States.
Permit requires proof of a pistol safety class, review of Arizona Statute ARS 13-3112, two fingerprints and a passport photo. We provide fingerprints, application assistance, and self-addressed envelope. Permit is good for 5 years.
After completing your training, you will need to submit an application to the Arizona Department of Public Safety for your Arizona Non-Resident CCW permit. The following information is from the Florida Division of Licensing that administers the state concealed firearms permit program.
Requirements:
1. be a resident of this state or a United States citizen;
2. be twenty-one years of age or older
3. not be under indictment for a felony offense;
4. not be convicted of a felony offense, unless the conviction has been expunged, set aside, vacated or pardoned, or the individuals right to possess firearms has be restored AND the individual must not be a prohibited possessor under state or federal law.
5. not suffer from mental illness and been adjudicated mentally incompetent or committed to a mental institution;
- not be unlawfully present in the United States;
6. complete a firearms safety training program pursuant to A.R.S. 13-3112.N(link is external).
3-hour Florida State Non-Resident Concealed Carry Weapons Permit allows a non-resident of the state of Florida to carry in Florida and 34 other States.
Permit requires proof of a pistol safety class, review of Chapter 790 Florida Statutes, fingerprints and a passport photo. We provide fingerprints, application assistance, and self-addressed envelope. Permit is good for 7 years.
After completing your training, you will need to submit an application to Florida for your Florida CCW permit. The following information is from the Florida Division of Licensing that administers the state concealed firearms permit program.
Requirements:
1. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age
2. Proof of good character…whereas the applicant;
a. has not been convicted of a felony;
