New Jersey Non-Resident and Resident Concealed Carry Weapons Permit
***MUST HAVE LEGALLY REGISTERED FIREARM IN YOUR NAME***
The NJ CCW C.C.A.R.E. Protocol course requirements:
-Demonstrate safe holstering and unholstering during the shooting course of fire
-Demonstrate proficient and safe reloading during the shooting course of fire
-Use of Force for Private Citizen Concealed Carry
-Holster Draw
-Live Range shooting course of fire which consists of 50 rounds (80% is passing, 40 out of 50 rounds must be within the silhouette)
-Shooting distances are from the: 3-yard line, 5-yard line, 7-yard line, 10-yard line, and 15- yard line (10 rounds at each yard line)
-According to N.J.S.A.2C:58-4: Permit to carry handguns, one permit shall be sufficient for all handguns owned by the holder thereof.
-New Jersey Residents and Non-Residents MUST have Firearms Identification card (FID)
-Must get fingerprinted if not already fingerprinted in the State of New Jersey for firearms
NJ CCW is good for 2 years and then it must be renewed.
